Sport Springs SPEC-R is increase to the optimal rate that the stock shocks can handle. Higher performance shocks are not required, but recommended.
SPEC-R springs are wound with the same engineering as our sports springs. With the exception of stiffer rates and slight change in ride height; you can expect the same characteristics as our sports springs.
- Drop (Front): -1.4 inches
- Drop (Rear): -0.8 inches
Shipping was fast. and installation went smooth. These springs are the best overall, I'm impressed how good these handle on the road, and the drop is not too slammed. I love the drop it had though, it sits perfect with the car. I recommend these springs to anyone thats thinking of buying them. You won't regret it!
I installed these on my Evo 8, overall very satisfied with them. Stiffened up the ride quality a little bit, but not terribly. Great quality, fast shipping.
I have used many suspension setup on this car, BC BR, B14, B8 with pro kit, sportline, and finally come to this setup B8 with Swift Spec R.
simply saying. the best performance and comfort overall.
unless it is a very rough road with depression surface, or pit cover, it works perfectly. giving you the smooth ride quality with very good supporting to corner in every speed. remark, not sure why, but it works magically very comfort on the gravel road, better than the Pro kit a lot.
only con in this setup is about the rear spring. a bit too high if consider ride comfort. 3.8K. but it gives you a bit fun and help in cornering.
Drop was okay, went from a four finger to about a two finger. Have only scraped on oversized speed bumps. Meh. Definitely better than stock, but still should have got Fortune 500 coils
I drive a 2014 evo x and wanting to lower the car but can't afford coil overs and beside, I m a type a guy that likes to set and forget about it. Mainly daily and driven a few auto cross here and there, nothing crazy. A shop I get my car service recommended swift sport, after install the car is a different animal, handles great, very responsive, more confident and main thing - not bumpy all and great stands. Car lower about 3/4 of 1" and 1/2" on the rear. Wife approved and she is very picky.
