I bought a 2016 WRX used and the previous owner had a block heater purchased at MAP but he never got it installed. I attempted and realized with the helpful staff that he had purchased the one for the STI model not the WRX. It is a completely different heating element and harness. Chris from MAP ordered me the correct one for my car and had it shipped to my house at no charge. I have it installed and it works great. It's on a timer so it powers on 2 hrs before I start the car. Instant heat from the vents and the radiator is warm to the touch.
