This shifter completely changed the feel of my 2010 Evo X, and I am more than satisfied with it. The installation was not difficult, and I think anyone looking to get into tinkering on their car should start with this. There are in depth guides online with videos that will guide you step by step, so never fear. The only difficulty I had was with the lock washers on the shifter block, which were a bit hard to remove, but with some persuasion of a flat head screw driver, they eventually came off.

Overall this kit greatly improved the overall solid feeling of the shifter, and made the throw much shorter. 10/10 would buy again.

It’s going to be noticeable when you’re aware of the new hardware during shifting. I personally enjoy it because it tighten up the shift, I felt less notchiness, a smoother shift going into other gears. Shorter distance when moving the stick. Aside from that i think it’s great!
