2008-2015 Evo X Catch Can / Coolant Expansion Combo Tank By MAPerformance
Let’s be honest. You love the raw visceral feel of stomping on the gas pedal and being pushed back into the seat of your Mitsubishi Evolution X. All that boost in your 4B11T generates a lot of crankcase pressure which can lead to pre-detonation and be detrimental to performance and longevity of your engine.
Our all-new MAPerformance Catch Can for the Evo X is a full vent to atmosphere catch can designed to eliminate this crankcase pressure. Venting the crankcase properly makes seals & gaskets last longer and reduces oil accumulation in intercoolers and intake piping to ensure your intercooler is operating at an optimal level. It also reduces the resistance against your pistons and is able to free up some hp that your factory system robs you of.
Our sleek cast design replaces your plastic coolant overflow tank and doubles as your coolant overflow tank and catch can, all with an easy single bolt install.

Arrived within a week to Australia from America. It is pricey, but a well worth long term investment that helped bring the engine bay some style as well. Install was fairly straight forward and relatively easy. Instructions were easy to find on both the website and youtube. Just have to pay close attention to clearances to the pulley and belt. The hosing for the drain kit was a little longer then necessary, and really couldn't be bothered to cut it as it was already prefitted. But a single.ziptie for safety, and the drainkit was an easy install as well, high recommended doing at the same time with access to at least some jack stands
I only half installed this for now because of the mid-winter arctic blast here in Michigan. I'm very impressed with the quality and fitment. I replaced my Radium dual catch can setup in favor of this. I kept having oil issues in the winter time. This setup solved multiple things I wanted to get done. Replace the oem coolant overflow with a nicer piece. Free up engine bay space. Solve the oil sucking issue. A bit spendy, BUT you get what you pay for. This is a quality show piece with true function.
✔️ Cleaner Intake / Engine Bay Over Time
The MAP unit helps trap oil vapors that otherwise would end up in the intercooler or intake tract — helping reduce buildup.
✔️ Functional & Relatively Easy Install
Most owners note that installation is straightforward since it replaces the coolant reservoir without major drilling.
✔️ Quality Build for the Price
The cast/billet construction and AN-style fittings are generally seen as solid for a combined catch can/coolant tank
Really impressed with the quality of the kit , came with everything you need for installation.
Only downfall so far is noticeable fumes when the heater is on inside the cab since its vent to atmosphere. Looks great in the engine bay like it belongs there . Looking forward to seeing how well it performs now .
Very bad PCV head attachment, I'm back with a status update after a month of use, very disappointed, I had big problems with attaching the hose to the PCV on the right, because the plastic caps give you a small kit, the attachment is very unreliable, based more on the joint, they don't thread exactly, at high pressures you can hear a squeak, I spent a month testing the car to figure out where that squeak is coming from, who else has had this happen to you, you know where it comes from, don't just change all the hoses, it's very poor quality, disappointed, the one from Radium is much better, with classic attachments based on clamps and rubber!
