2015-2021 Subaru WRX MT Rev 4 Catted Downpipe by MAPerformance
When the turbo compresses exhaust gas, it's forced through a narrow downpipe on its way through the exhaust system. This narrow pipe can create lots of turbulence. This air pressure needs to go somewhere, and the factory 2015-2021 Subaru WRX downpipe is a huge bottleneck, limiting flow and robbing power. An upgraded downpipe will allow this spent exhaust gas a quicker outlet to the exhaust system, increasing horsepower and torque through the entire power band!

So thus is my first time installing a downpipe. It was extremely simple. Maperformance instructions was spot on for the walk through. Pipe is very well made. I am currently in the process of getting Etuned. Sounds is absolutely aggressive. I have an MBRP race cat back it is hooked to. My car is 100% louder. No check engine code yet. Time will tell. Highly recommend this down pipe if you are on the fence pull the trigger and buy it. Only con I had was the kit didn't come with a new steel gasket for the turbo to cat connection. I reused my old one it was still in good shape. All in all I was very satisfied. Thank MAP!! Video is just a cold start on base e tune to make sure everything works well so no revs sorry.

The communication and service between purchase and delivery was amazing even with a small problem with initial part that was delivered they immediately responded and sent a new one out and made it simple for me to return the other one.
The product itself is a super quality piece the welds and fabrication re top notch and once I installed it was blow away at the sound and power increases which are very prominent! *refer to clips

I was very unsure of this product because of the price. It was significantly cheaper than other name brands. I figured you get what you pay for. I'm not sure what brand that was on my 15 WRX previously since the previous owner partially built the car. But I am on love with this down pipe. It was engineered beautifully. You can get the top left bolt with an impact now since they slightly relocated the O2 sensor. And this has a flex pipe instead of a resonator unlike my old j pipe and my car now builds 3 lbs of boost more. And the turbo whistle is so much louder sounds incredible and the exhaust sounds just a tad but louder but not obnoxious. Can't be happier with this j pipe! Above an beyond expectation. I never write reviews but this j pipe deserves a 5 star review do not hesitate. You will be extremely satisfied. Everyone said it would cause a check engine light. But so far day 7 of driving it no CEL and I put over 40 miles on it a day.
