For a stock FA20 this is barely louder, won't upset your neighbors. Combined with the maperformance j pipe it growls nicely when you're on the throttle.
It looks beautiful with the blue tips and sounds beautiful. Slightly louder than stock but it does get louder at higher RPM. Very minimal drone at higher RPM. It’s very mature sounding yet loud enough to still have that iconic STI boxer rumble. It also does not have that nasty sounding crackle and pop. Thank God.
I’m really happy with my Invidia q300. You can tell it’s a very high quality exhaust and I’m satisfied with the results! It’s not a crazy difference from stock but has a nice, low and aggressive rumble to it. You can hardly tell it’s an aftermarket exhaust when the car is in idle, but as soon as I got it in the road and opened it up...it put a huge smile on my face. I just wish it was a big louder. I went with the q300 because I didn’t want any drone or something too obnoxious...but this is just a tad underwhelming. If you want a little more, get the r400 (if it’s in stock)! Nonetheless, I am very happy with my purchase! I absolutely love the look of the titanium burnt tips and it really gives the rear end that little something it was missing! Awesome.
I was looking for something not too loud for my 19 wrx. This checks all the box’s, performance and still quite. If you have a down pipe it wakes up a little more but not obnoxious. If you are looking for a louder sound, keep searching, the stock exhaust is louder than this one. It for me it’s perfect!
