Fortune Auto 500 Series Gen 6 Coilovers (Fortune Auto Springs)
500 Series Coilovers are custom, hand-built to order. Most applications have a 2-3 week lead time. Lead times for certain applications and peak season orders may vary.
Fortune Auto engineers were tasked with a focused goal to make the Generation 6 - 500 Series dampers the best single adjustable system on the market at a very affordable price point. All systems are completely built in-house by our engineering staff in Richmond, Virginia. We insist on building bespoke suspension in order to offer the best quality control in the industry.
Research on the racetrack has helped us develop the Fortune Auto 500 Series into a great all-around shock absorber. Using high quality components that meet our strict standards allows us to optimize comfort, reliability, and longevity.
Digressive piston technology allows for stiff low-speed compression/rebound force. This gives more control of driver inputs such as roll, dive, and squat. However, at fast stroke speeds (i.e. high speed bumps) the suspension becomes supple in response to bumps and irregularities in the road for maximum control.
Generation 6 Updates
Generation 6 models benefit from an upgraded jetting assembly. In previous generations the orifice bleed holes were hand drilled. Generation 6 bleed holes are now CNC machined allowing for more consistent damping adjustments between shocks. Furthermore flow of the orifice bleed holes has increased and a re-designed jetting assembly is used, this yields a 35% increase in damping force adjustment. Providing the user with a shock that has more performance and adjustability.
New CNC machined adjustment knobs replace the outgoing cast molded knobs. These new machined adjustment knobs are hard anodized and more aesthetically pleasing. Updated shaft end caps are now lighter and showcase a more elegant design.

I got these coilovers to replace my stock bilsteins on my EVO IX MR and I'm very happy with the result. not only was i able to adjust the ride height, but also the dampers and spring load. They feel good and i have to say, the ride feels a lot smoother than stock. The only downside was i ordered custom spring rates and they came with 8k all around. Still happy with the result though.
feel great and smooth
Recently purchased FA500's with the Radial upgrade, and FA 8k springs. I installed them and have been driving the car for about a week. The car feels great! With the dampening setting lower at 6 its smoother then and less harsh then the factory set up. Dialed up the dampening rating to 12 front and rear and its just a little more stiff then factory. Be prepared for the rear to settle about 1/2". front settled about 3/16's. so far so great and happy i made the purchase. Leo was awesome to work with and hands down great customer service and satisfaction.
Finally installed these on my evo and wow the ride quality was just as great as oem or better. love the service MAP provides!
I recently purchased the FA500 coilovers for my Evo 9. I custom ordered 10k front and 12K rear spring rates. The car handles absolutely amazing and is not crazy harsh even on these terrible Alaska roads. The hardest part of the install for me was running the rear adjustment extenders but I can confirm they do fit even with the SE's sub in the trunk. I cannot say if they are reliable or not because I have only had them on for 2 weeks.
