HKS Hi-Power Cat-back Exhaust
(Honda Civic 1996-2000 CX/DX Hatchback)

Inspired and designed from endurance and GT racing in Japan, HKS developed its Hi-Power Exhaust system for both turbocharged and naturally aspirated applications. HKS has incorporated this new race inspired offset muffler and piping design into many street applications, which offers a greater flow and higher-PRM power gains due to the less restrictive design. This is achieved by eliminating unnecessary bends for the straightest exhaust path.

For turbocharged applications, the large and smooth exhaust flow allows greater exhaust velocity for better mid-range boost response and high-RPM power. Naturally aspirated vehicles also benefit from greater exhaust flow capacity as engine tuning levels increase. Certain applications are available in a Silent Hi-Power version which has an inner silencer built into the muffler. Like Drager Exhaust systems, Hi-Power Exhaust systems are made from SUS304 stainless steel muffler and tip assemblies. Depending on the application, Hi-Power muffler tips are 96mm, 115mm and 120mm in diameter, piping diameter ranges from 55mm to 95mm. Special Edition HKS Carbon Titanium Hi-Power Exhaust systems are exclusively available for certain popular applications. These exclusive versions of the Hi-Power Exhaust consist of a carbon fiber wrapped muffler shell, titanium tip, and polished SUS304 stainless steel piping.

HKS Hi-Power Ek Hatch Catback

This is one of those products as a Honda enthusiast for the past 15 years was eyeballing and thinking to myself it would be cool to grab something like that. Over the years I've gone the "cheaper" route as most do and did off-brand exhaust and then eventually had a Yonaka setup. That was a good setup on it's own for being sleek, good sounding, 90% perfect fitment (due to not being setup for swaps & their header combos vs the Chassis), and overall price point. Well after the car sat for a few years and I was pulling it apart and rebuilding part for part I said I'm going to get one of these awesome JDM exhaust I've always wanted, I tell you it's the best decision I ever made for this car and it's Type R swapped setup. What a beautiful and perfect fitment from the adjustable hi flow cat connecting to the massive header collector it just bolted straight up. Then the pure sound it makes, and surprisingly enough with the "fart can" style that gets trashed so often it's honestly the quietest setup I've ever ran on the car but yet it's not quite lol. It's subtle and chill for cruising and you can have a convo at speed in the car holding 3500 rpm, but then you step on it and open it into V-tec and it just comes alive and such a smooth and great sound and there's no rasp to it, just good throat and "power" to it. Hands down worth every penny and the wait time to get this thing, got me thinking about another one for my Integra that's for sure! A++ HKS.

HKS is always a great buy.

I have had the exhaust on for about a month now and loving it. The only thing is that the exhaust rattles against the Progress Technology's rear sway bar/brace because it goes underneath car and not through the axle opening. A little bit of modifying and it works great. I am very happy with my purchase.
