I finally decided to rebuild my 94 Supra turbo I purchased new. On the outside it looks completely stock. My builder recommended for the motor JE Pistons, Manley H tuff rods and we put a great deal of thought into the conversion to a single turbo charger. I wanted quick spool up (similar to factory twinn) yet with more power,and torque through the mid power band. I have observed too many that over turbo their Supra for the street. My builder recommended the Garrett GT 3582 R to meet my target of 550whp and 500+ ft.lb torque @ 4000 rpm with room to increase to upper 600's.. He had a visual example of this turbo and how solid the impellers due to the BBplacment and internal oil pressure. He also explained the superior heat characteristics of this both water and oil cooled turbo charger. I have had the car back now one year. Couldn't be happier. I was concerned about quick spooling from a single, however, this garrett was on par with factory quick spool up yet with much more power. It operates flawlessly with my stated parameters at 18psi. Many of the new european and domestic sports cars that opt for a "go" get a good rear view of this 24 year old Toyota hatch back!

I opted to buy this turbo as I am piecing together a kit myself. The saying you get what you pay for couldn't have been more appropriate. The turbo is a solid rigid piece. Beautiful blade design. I purchsed this for my 87 mustang with a 2.3 svo motor. I had an another brand of turbocharger installed but the performance was just fine. I finally bite the bullet and purchased the gt35 turbo from garrett. It was so much smoother response and much more quiet.
