The turbo is bigger than I expected. What I mean is the lag is longer than I expected. It reaches full boost at 4500rpm. That is not the reason for the 3 star rating. The reason for 3 stars is twofold. 1st, as previously mentioned, MAP does NOT stock this turbo. I called in to make this order and was told they have one on the shelf and would ship tomorrow. This was false. The turbo to 2 weeks to arrive and it was drop shipped from Forced Performance in TX. 2nd, the band that holds the turbo together was clocked in such a way that the oil sump could not bolt onto the turbo. This forced me to have to loosen and rotate the band. This is never something you want to do. The risk of damaging something is too great.
Other than that the turbo works as advertised, it makes solid power and fun noises.
expect a 10-12 week wait, they do not have them in stock despite what the site says. If you order one and didn't catch this comment then Maperformance will need to get approval from forced performance before they can issue a refund. Seems like you have about 5 days to catch it otherwise your waiting.
