Forced Performance 71HTA JB Super Core | 2003-2006 Mitsubishi Evo 8/9 (2001020)

I got the FP 71HTA core from MAP at a very good price, and it was delivered promptly & securely. It took me a while to install and test. I installed with a new MHI turbine housing and O2 housing... Full 3" connection to 3" Downpipe. The performance on my Evo 4G63 2.0L is GREAT. The spool is SUPERB in any gear, with low down torque which pulls great all the way to about 6,900rpm+ . The 71HTA really supports the GSC S2 cams, etc. VERY well. I do expect even better performance after further ECU / Dyno Tuning, AND Perhaps later 2.2L Stroker. The 71HTA has given me ALL of the Autocross / Track-day / Time Attack performance (on my full road spec Evo) needed; "AS GOOD AS" my colleague's FP GREEN on the courses that we attack. Everything was easy to install just didn’t have a diagram to go off of so I had to find different sources on how to route the oil feed line. Would have had a 5/5 if it came with a coupler that fits the turbo housing instead of me barely finding one on 4 other sites. Besides that car runs great after it’s tuned.

The FP 71HTA is the best turbo high spool high response I am very happy with it.
