Cusco Rear Cross Member Power Brace | 2016-2021 Honda Civic Non Type-R

This is another quality product from Cusco. It is beautifully made and the finish is excellent. Unfortunately the 2016-2020 Honda Civic (Non Type-R) Rear Cross Member Power Brace by Cusco will only fit the Sport and Touring Hatchbacks which have a central exhaust and no spare tire well. Please note that it does not fit the LX, EX or EX-L as they have a large sub-floor dip to accommodate the spare tire well and therefore has no room for the brace.

The part is top quality and has an excellent finish. It was well packaged, but did not come with any instructions.

The install was a bit of a challenge, however, due to the center exhaust placement. Even dropping the rear of the exhaust off the hangars, it was a tight fit and I scraped the bar up pretty good.

If you drop the entire rear exhaust, it would be a piece of cake.

The unfortunate part is while this bar is designed for the non type r, I noticed my Si has the extra mounting points for the type r version. If I could buy it again, I'd take the risk and pay extra for the type r bar despite the listed fitment to get that additional bracing. Of course, the install of the type r bar would absolutely require dropping the exhaust.
