Constructed of 2x2 twill carbon fiber and finished in a high-quality gloss clear coat, the intake system's presence in your engine bay does not go unnoticed.
The main airbox is constructed of multiple layers of 2x2 twill carbon fiber sheets for a true carbon intake through and through. High quality gloss clear finish provides fade resistance from heat and UV light. A bespoke black Redline badge sits at the front of the integrated intake ducting. Air is filtered through a 35% larger (when compared to the standard SF Intake) pre-oiled filter and routed to the MAF housing which is bolted to the airbox by way of a black anodized billet aluminum adapter. The wire-reinforced black silicone coupler is sealed on either end with black anodized clamps for a very sleek install. A second billet plate can be removed from the fender side of the airbox to increase airflow and audible intake sounds of the system.
This intake system utilizes several unique features in an effort to maintain optimal flow for performance while minimizing turbulence. A custom conical air-filter element, CFD-designed velocity stack and unique air flow straightener grid are designed to smooth the incoming air flow as it passes the Mass Air Flow sensor for precise readings. The one piece high temperature plastic composite design saves weight and reduces heat transfer.

Fast delivery and on time! Loved the product
First off, a shout out to MAPerformance for their awesome service! I ordered this Sunday, November 28 and received Tuesday, November 30! First impression after opening the package is the pictures and videos do not do this product justice, quite a beautiful piece of equipment! Install was as simple as it gets, the hardest part is installing the hardware for where the "snorkel" end ultimately pops into place - getting the tiny allen bolts up through the radiator support took some patience, otherwise everything else was a breeze. It may have taken longer to do the off car assembly than it did to remove the old and install the new. On my first drive, the induction and blow off sounds are perfect. Not too loud but definitely adds to the driving experience. For reference, I did not install the optional end cap as I preferred having the extra noise. I can't say for sure that there is any actual power difference, since I had been running the MAPerformance stage 1 OTS map that I received when I purchased my access port and now had to temporarily go to the Cobb Stage 1+ OTS map, I have not been able to hit the same peak boost yet which I had figured would be the case. This temporary loss of power is worth it for the enhanced driving experience of being able to hear the new soundtrack the engine makes, and can be simply remedied with a new tune. All in all I am happy with my decision to purchase this product and look forward to seeing the full potential after getting a proper tune for it.
First time you pick this up you can appreciate the properties of carbon fiber ! The part weighs less than the box it's shipped in. Very good quality in workmanship and materials used, not difficult to install and it cleans up the engine compartment with less cluttered components than the factory intake and air box. First time you drive with this you will feel the difference it wakes up the performance noticeably and you can hear the turbo spool up when accelerating and the carbon fiber looks like a high performance part under the hood so it will definitely get attention, not the cheapest option but definitely looks as good as it performs.
So technically this is the first install of a aftermarket part in years on any vehicle. Cobb’s instruction guide made this pretty simple. Currently running cobb’s stage 1+sf 91 map in the meantime while I wait for my protune appointment and this thing just brings a smile to my face with all the induction noises. The quality of this piece is amazing and I would definitely recommend this intake to anyone, spend the money on this piece as it’s worth every cent and it looks soo good!!!
First of all, this thing looks amazing!! The carbon fiber is perfect and very light weight. Install was pretty easy but it didn't come with instructions. I had to watch a YouTube video but it's all good. I haven't driven my car yet since I've installed it. I'm waiting for a fee more parts to install then take it for a tune. But it looks very nice in my engine bay.
