I've kept my Si on stock suspension for 5 years now. I've read countless reviews, watched all the YouTube videos you can watch. Springs or coils? How terrible will the ride be on aftermarket suspension? What wheel fitment do I want? I just couldn't decide, and ended up not making a decision at all, until now. I finally pulled the trigger on the BC coilovers and let me tell you, I wish I would have done it sooner.
The Ride Quality: not as bad as what the internet told me. The stiffness of the ride is adjustable and you can dial it in to whatever your preference is. I live in an area with some rough roads. You definitely feel the potholes, but other than that, the ride is smooth. There's no weird rattling or extra noise in the cabin. It almost feels like a stock ride until you hit a bump.
Install: this was my first time installing coilovers. Ever. I watched a YouTube video on how to do it. It took my friend and I about 9 hours to complete. The hardest part is getting the OEM parts off, especially in the front. I'd set aside a weekend to do this, just to be safe.
Fitment: if you've read the forums, the go-to wheel size other owners recommend is usually 18x9.5, +38. The tire I went with is 255/35. The fitment is amazing. I maxed out the coilovers in both the front and the back. I did end up raising the front a smidgen due to some rubbing, but most people don't have rubbing issues. (Adjusting the height is easy)
I can't really say "pick coilovers over springs" because I never had aftermarket springs. But what I can say is that I don't regret this purchase, it's my favorite mod on the car so far. You'll be smiling ear to ear every time you look at your car.

I love the coils, they’re perfect, moved from springs to these. I prefer these over the D2’s I've seen other people use.
