This Performance Air Intake System allows your engine to breath more air compared to the restrictive factory air intake housing. It is designed, tuned, and dyno-tested to produce more horsepower and torque. The cone-shaped AEM Dryflow air filter is made from an oil-free, synthetic filter media that can be used for up to 100,000 miles before cleaning is needed (depending on driving conditions). A custom shaped heat shield with edge trim lining is included to keep engine bay heat from the air intake. The air intake tube is constructed from mandrel-bent aluminum featuring a durable gunmetal gray powder coated finish. This air intake system is backed by AEM's Lifetime Limited Warranty. Some AEM air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California.

I have a 2017 Civic SI Coupe. Hard decision between this one and the K&N intake. I really like the look and the sound of this one. I think the shield around the filter makes a big difference. Would definitely recommend. Only problem I ran into was getting the mass airflow sensor out (see photo) stripped a Honda screw so broke off the mount, AEM provides nice hex screws to replace the bad OEM Philips head screws.
I bought this because I had a Civic way back when with an aem intake. The concept just seems right to me. AEM and Civics. Gone are the days of quality products from the brand though. This is some incredibly cheaply produced Chinese crap. It doesn't line up like the picture, the sticker was not aligned so the coupler covered up half of it, the welds are all sloppy, the pipe ends were bent, the clamps they provided are the dirt cheapest they could find. At the end of the day an intake is a pipe. Simple as that. This one is still better than the PRL Cobra though since cold air intakes are a gimmick and at least no water will get into this. Yeah it works and I was able to make it look less like garbage with some mild home remedies. Just get something else.. I've seen the k&n and mishimoto and both are leagues above this in quality. On the other hand MAP did a great job getting it here and props to them for selling it despite the fact that it's obviously worth about 15 dollars in parts and R&D. THIS REVIEW IN NO WAY TALKS SMACK ABOUT MAP. ONLY AEM.
