Evo X Street Disc Clutch Kit By ACT
Racing isn’t just about speed. Drivers aren’t troglodytes who pound the pedals all the way to the floor. A Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X driver uses finesse to reach top speeds, shifting at just the right moment to maximize those RPM.
A highly-tuned, juiced-up engine puts much more work on the transmission, which means a heavy disc clutch is needed for proper handling. The Advanced Clutch Technologies Pressure Plate Performance Disc Clutch Kit is the perfect addition for your 2008 and later Evo X.
ACT has a stellar reputation for quality, performance and affordability. This kit comes with the clutch disc, pressure plate and an ACT Monoloc Collar that replaces the standard two-piece wedge collar. Its diaphragm design reduces the clutch load, extending the life of your clutch, while giving you a clamps load increase of anywhere from 20 to 50 percent and a torque capacity of 510 foot-pounds. Yes, please.
The kit also gives your clutch a low to moderate pedal feel for smooth action. Whether you’re driving according to speed limits on the way to the track, or at high speeds across it, you’ll get spoiled by how your Evo feels with this high performance clutch kit.

Original clutch on the evo went out about 45k. Heard nothing but great reviews about this clutch and decided to give it a go. 10k miles later and I am still pleased with this clutch and the flywheel. Im fully bolted on and for the price and the power this clutch holds I wouldn’t go another route. I recommend this to anyone that’s 400whp and below. Have yet to push the limits. ACT makes beautiful products!
Had this paired up with the streetlite flywheel and ams cmc. Clutch was a little bit stiffer than stock and only catches slightly higher. Got used to it after the break in period. There is some slight chatter taking off in first gear but all you need to do is to give it more gas.
Amazing clutch for the price and there is barely any difference from oem. Definitely would purchase an ACT clutch again.
This clutch is perfect for a Daily Driven Evo with bolt-ons. I'm still doing the break in procedure but it feels great already. When it was first installed it was quite stiff and hard to drive, however, it smoothed out the more I drove it and at 300 miles so far it feels extremely close to OEM. I honestly don't even notice increased pedal pressure. Maybe some people need to step their leg game up at the gym. But the pedal weight feels good to me. it is a bit more grabby than the OEM but that's the price we have to pay. You can smooth out your shifts by riding the clutch a little more if you have a picky passenger, like my wife :).
This clutch is great, holds more power and feels very similar to the stock clutch. After the break-in period is complete it's really hard to tell the difference. Only first gear starts are a little more difficult on this clutch other than that it's very easy to use.
