This ACT clutch kit includes a Heavy Duty pressure plate, 4-pad, spring-centered race disc, release bearing, pilot bearing and alignment tool. The Heavy Duty pressure plate allows for a 20 to 50 percent increase in clamp load over the stock unit. ACT's Heavy Duty pressure plate features precision CNC machined parts, drive straps and rivets to securely locate contact face to the cover for quiet, trouble-free operation. The Heavy Duty pressure plate will have a stock to moderate pedal feel.
ACT pressure plates feature creative diaphragm designs to increase clamp load, reduce deflection and maximize clutch life. All diaphragms endure an exclusive four-stage, heat-treating process for unparalleled performance. The Heavy Duty pressure plate meets SFI Specification 1.1.
ACT's 4-pad, spring-centered race disc features a spring-center construction to properly dampen torsional vibrations for quieter operation and resist failure even under harsh conditions. ACT spring retainers utilize wraparound spring windows and thicker retainer stampings to provide spring support, reduce stress concentrations, and increase strength and reliability. The heavy duty torsional dampening springs are stronger in most cases than standard springs and are provided in the best sizes and spring rates to suit the application. With the 4-pad, spring-centered race disc engagement is harsher, but shifting is faster. ACT's 4-pad, spring-centered race disc is well-suited for the smaller disc sizes in smaller engines. All ACT race discs are certified as meeting SFI Specification 1.1 and are legal in all racing organizations that require SFI certification. The kit is completed with a quality, stock replacement release bearing, pilot bearing and alignment tool.
