2015-2020 Subaru WRX MT Rev 4 Catted Downpipe by MAPerformance

When the turbo compresses exhaust gas, it's forced through a narrow downpipe on its way through the exhaust system. This narrow pipe can create lots of turbulence. This air pressure needs to go somewhere, and the factory 2015-2020 Subaru WRX downpipe is a huge bottleneck, limiting flow and robbing power. An upgraded downpipe will allow this spent exhaust gas a quicker outlet to the exhaust system, increasing horsepower and torque through the entire power band!

Features

  • 3.5" bell mouth to 3" design reduces exhaust restrictions
  • Made from 304 stainless steel for superior corrosion resistance and enhanced appearance
  • Mandrel-bent tubing throughout optimizes exhaust flow
  • Stainless steel flex section reduces stress from engine movement increasing longevity
  • Utilizes OEM ground strap
  • Designed to be used with your OEM turbo outlet gasket
  • 304 stainless steel CNC turbo outlet flange
  • 100% Made in the USA

Please Note: This will not fit CVT models. This product may be used with either a factory cat-back exhaust system or the MAPerformance exhaust system. Please specify via the dropdown before ordering.

Amazing work of art!

First the quality of the MAP J-pipe is A+++.. Beautiful welds, shiny SS and sound is deeper and less raspy over stock unit. Power increases were 23hp at the wheels with a tune. Certainly recommend to anyone looking to step up there WRX game.

WRX MAP J-pipe

This product looks nice, great fitment. I was fortunate to be able to remove the old pipe without breaking any studs, fitment was pretty good. I've heard of people that weren't able to reuse the heat shield under the serpentine belt, but I fought with the install to make sure I was able to utilize all old mounts/brackets. The sound is very good, definitely loud on my vehicle (ETS extreme cutback with no resonator or mufflers), but still sounds good in my opinion.

Worth it!

I’ve really enjoyed having this on my car. Paired it up with the MAP exhaust, intake, and headers. They put out quality products. My only issue has been the OTS tune hasn’t meshed well with my car. I’m looking forward my e-tune soon.

Quality and performance

Recently installed the map jpipe and went with the ots tune they offer. Was already running the map intake and stage 1 + this added a noticeable amount of torque and does make the exhaust more throaty. Without question the install is a bit of a pain, mine went good except the dreaded upper right stud being the challenge but with some work it all came together. I paired mine up with the remark muffler delete that I’d already been running and the cold starts are super loud. The figment and quality of this j pipe is exceptional. If you take the connector for the front o2 sensor off its stock mounting tab it allows room to connect it easier. Overall it’s night and day from before, wouldn’t hesitate to do it again.
