Jan 20, 2026Ryan Surprise

If you’re new to the modding scene or are wondering where to go next with your build, you may have questions about what upgrades to make. We see a lot of enthusiasts settle on one upgrade but then realize that it changes their driving experience, or doesn’t fit the look they were going for and feel stuck. We want to help you find the parts you want and show you what parts you need to get the right performance out of your vehicle. Let’s start by talking about the risks of piece-mealing your project list.

Overspending

When you’re shopping for one part at a time, you may think you’re saving yourself time and money, but you may be losing both. You can save money when packaging similar performance parts together, wheels and tires, suspension components, etc. No, this isn’t a sales pitch to get you to buy a whole warehouse. We want to help you shop smarter and think ahead on how you want your vehicle to perform and how to get there.

We know making performance or aesthetic upgrades to your car aren’t cheap, but there are ways you can save when packaging parts together in one purchase. Do your research and find sales packages that work for your next project so you can save while still getting the quality parts you’ve been waiting for. Feel free to talk to customer service to ask them about what sales or package options are out there to make sure you are getting the most value out of your purchase.

Missing Part for Performance

You’re just missing one part to get that  performance upgrade you want. So you buy it and then it changes how your vehicle rides or doesn’t perform as you intended. Does this sound familiar? We wish every mod was just a one-and-done job, but whenever you’re modding or replacing parts, it’s going to change how your vehicle performs.

That’s why it’s so important to do your research before making big changes to your ride. There can be unexpected changes that you’ll need to make along the way for you to reach that ride quality or performance gain goal. Down below, we’ll show you some of the biggest mistakes enthusiasts make and how you can avoid them by packaging your performance parts together.

How to Package Mods for Maximum Efficiency and Performance

Suspension

Before and after installing lowering springs on sedan

Whether you’re lowering your suspension for handling gains or that aggressive, sporty look, you can’t just put lowering springs on and expect that to be it. You may need to roll your fenders to avoid rubbing when you lower your suspension, and if you add lowering springs, you’re going to need shocks that can absorb bumps in the road to avoid that stiff ride quality.

Your OEM shocks probably won’t do the job since they’re built for the original springs that are longer than lowering springs. Finding a good aftermarket alternative will reduce that stiff ride while still giving you that dropped down look.

Performance Gains

Replacing one part of your setup with a stronger aftermarket alternative can increase your horsepower, but creating a performance build takes a lot of planning. Sure, you can replace your intake for better airflow and combustion, but the horsepower gains are going to be pretty minimal. Of course there are benefits to replacing your intake for that deep, fun sound, but taking the time to improve several parts of your performance array at once will get you the most horsepower gains for that expected boost in speed and power.

You should start by looking at engine tuners to optimize your vehicle’s power. Then you can look at replacing your intake and your exhaust with performance alternatives that will give you a few extra horsepower to maximize your build’s sound and acceleration. Doing all this will also need a retune, so follow the instructions for the best performance while also minimizing wear and tear on your vehicle.

You can also look into turbocharging your setup, which will need a turbocharger, an intercooler, a blow-off valve, and other performance parts to work effectively and ensure you have an optimal air-fuel ratio going through your engine. Make a plan before ripping parts out of your engine bay.

Wheels & Tires

You want a new set of wheels for an aesthetic upgrade. No problem there, but if you don’t buy tires to go with them, you’re leaving money on the table. There are tons of wheel and tire packages out there that can help you save and finish you look all in one go.
