Check Out These Amazing Power Numbers Provided by the MAP STi Rotated Mount Turbo Kit!

Recently, we wrote about our Subaru STi rotated mount turbo kit and the benefits of installing such a kit. Well, a dedicated customer decided to purchase the kit for his 2004 Subaru STi, replacing his old Forced Performance Red setup. He couldn't be happier with the performance gains he's gotten!

Here is the mods list:

This is the interesting part: Carl T. is the owner of the car, and also the owner of general repair shop in Saint Paul, MN. He has extensive automotive background, particularly with the LS series GM motors and is widely known as a expert tuner for that platform. He chose MAPerformance as the go-to tuner due to our reliable history with import cars and Subaru in general. Carl is an avid auto-crosser and has participated in many events across the Midwest, including Road America, Mid America, and MAP's Proving Grounds. Carl needed this turbo to be fast spooling and capable of producing top-end power over 6400RPM. That is exactly what he got. sti rotated mount turbo kit The car pulls hard through every gear and sounds insane to boot! According to our in-house tuner Jordan, "this is the best kit I have ever tuned on a Subaru". He testifies the transient response on this car is amazing, and it's what sets this STi apart from the others. Carl agrees, saying "the transient throttle response is completely opposite to the FP Red ... where the FP would lag, this turbo keeps spool and is explosive almost immediately. I'd recommend MAP's STi rotated mount turbo kit to anyone looking for some extra power". Check out this graph, and you'll agree! sti rotated mount turbo kit dyno pulls We did a few pulls here on our Dyno at both 26psi and 30psi, both running a E85 winter mixture. While we were impressed with the numbers we got at 26psi, Carl had us turn up the boost a little bit to really test the limits. 30psi was outstanding as well!

AmmonisLampkin We purposely engineered and built this kit to work with TMIC setups.  I do not believe there are any other kits currently on the market meant to work with your 02-07 WRX / STI using the TMIC so it makes sense consumers would think you need a FMIC. As for pump gas results we do not have any as of yet but in reality this car was using winter blend E85 which is closer to an E70 so the results are not as far of from 93 pump as you’d expect.

I’m confused, how is this vehicle running a rotated kit with a TMIC? I always thought you have to run a FMIC once you go rotated. Could you please elaborate more on this?

Also, do you have graphs/numbers for the exact same car on 93 pump? Everyone is not as lucky as those with access to E85. CT does not sell E85 to the general public.

Is it possible to go with this set-up in a GC body Subaru? I have an ‘01 2.5RS that I’m debating with keeping a stock STi swap or going the built route.
