This happens during extreme performance and sports conditions, which affects the engine oils behavior in the sump. A constant steady supply of oil is achieved with the use of this Baffle Plate kit. Once customized to match the applications oil pans (sump) design.
When the oil moves away from the pickup and air gets sucked in. In an instant, the oil film is cut and there is metal contact which will see the temperatures soar. This can lead to terminal engine failure. The one way rubber valve in this baffle plate keeps the strainer always submerged in oil.
Great product was able to modify and get it to work quite easily remember that it will take some modification for your particular oil pan. I like the results I got! I used the kit for a Mazda 1.8L K8 V6
