Mk7 GTI 3" Downpipe by Ultimate Racing
Top section available with ceramic or metal high flow cats. Ceramic option features a 3-inch, 400 cell count, ceramic core high flow cat to replace the restrictive OEM catalytic converter. Recommended to those that want flow improvements over the OEM cat without breaking the bank. The metal option features a 3-inch, 200 cell count, metal substrate high flow cat. Recommended to those seeking the absolute most horsepower possible. Especially those that run aggressive tunes.
Bottom section is available as a through, free flowing pipe, or an optional resonator can be requested. The resonator option smooths the tone of the exhaust and aids in the removal of in-cabin resonance, which can occur in some vehicles. Great for cars with aftermarket exhausts that are a touch too loud.
Other options for this kit include: a 3-inch to 3-inch adapter (in place of the standard slip-fit adapter which can cause bottlenecking); an additional O2 sensor bung (for isntalling a future wideband sensor); and an O2 sensor extender (to prevent CEL).
