Came fast and was easy to put on
Very easy install , great product and quality. Definitely Worth the buy.
Quick and fast shipping. Awesome quality and craftsmanship. Just waiting to install this and get a tune.
For the Turbosmart Actuator I found the included instructions helpful, and installation fairly simple (I've removed the stock one for downpipe replacement so I was already familiar with the process), but my end result was inaccurate with a consistent 22PSI blow-off using the recommended 2mm of pull.
Having said that I was debating between the 18PSI and 22PSI units so I didn't bother dialing it in since I needed to readjust my control map regardless of the setting having come from the stock actuator. It's possible I actually received a 22PSI unit in the box; I didn't verify by part no. Again for my case I am not concerned.
Otherwise it's solid and well-built compared with the stock unit with a much beefier bracket and has been reliably responsive with no more than about 9% spike: it never releases lower than 21 ½ and never holds harder than 24, which on a fast gear like 2nd where boost can build very quickly is about as responsive as you can get. You can actually run a healthy breathing (i.e.: IC, DP, full exhaust) but stock turbo Evo with this and an empty reactive wastegate map all day and be fairly happy (~320 whp give or take). The release response is snappier than stock with a slightly more pronounced "pssshht", but nothing you'd really notice unless you were looking for it.
I'm told it "holds pressure" better than stock; I am getting better response and carrying a little more PSI through the top end (as much as +3 pounds through 6000-7000), but I also replaced my IC at this time and I can't properly attribute the improvement to either part. More likely the upgrades were somewhat complimentary.
All told a nice addition to any Evo-in-Progress.
