Treadstone Performance Intercooler Kit | 2015+ Ford Ecoboost Mustang (FMICFM)

This I'm writing to inform future Treadstone Intercooler buyers that the issue with the OEM map sensor plug wiring being a bit to short and a very tight fit(a issue i had) this can be fixed by purchasing the Flowmaster Boost Module at Flowmaster.com. This item will not only give you the needed wire extension for the map sensor plug but at the same time it gives you 2 boost settings to raise boost by either 2psi or 4psi depending on which setting is chosen.....worth 35hp!!!!

Nice intercooler, does take some modifications to install. You do have to remove the lower AGS system and cut alot of plastic air deflectors. Intercooler inlet tube is about 4 inches to long so I had to cut. The bolt for the boost sensor is short must have one twice as long! Plan to spend a few hours to install on a lift! Also it took over 2 weeks to receive! Looks good high quality. No instructions.

Pretty good intercooler but when I received it I got no tubes..so me being me (instead of calling, because I didn't know it was supposed to come with it) I had someone custom make some and that alone cost me about $200 additional on top of the install price. Pretty disappointed with the "kit" itself, but not the intercooler. If you buy it just make sure to call them for the pipes ahead of time.

I had a few issues with this intercooler kit. 1st issue was that I received only the cooler without the piping and other items. It took one call to MAPs and to Treadstone, a week later I received those items. 2nd issue were the holes on the L-shape mounting plate didn't line up, had to use a file to open those holes. 3rd issue was that the way the MAP sensor mounts into the cold side pipe it requires the wiring to be untaped from the wiring harness to get it to stretch closer to the sensor...plus the the way it mounts upward it is a very tight plug in. Cold side pipe fits with some twisting and turning. 4th issue is that the Hot side pipe from the kit does not fit, it's about 2" too long, so I had to go and get it shortened by cutting it and refitted and getting it tig welded. A $40 headache. Positive point: the cooler does mount directly to the bumper cross bar....great spot. Cooler is about 3 times the size of the OEM cooler. Does look great combined with the MAPs intercooler piping. I don't regret getting this kit but I did call Treadstone and gave them my input and was insured that they are going to relook at this kit and make all adjustments needed to make it fit better for future customers.

Intercooler arrived nicely packaged and with everything fully intact, welds look amazing. Took one star off for lack of any mounting or installation instructions of any kind, mostly straight forward but there is 2 ways to mount it and one pushes it to far back and messes with the angle of charge pipes and will cause them to pop off. Still would highly recommend this product, charge temps went from 150 during a pull to 90
