This intercooler features a divided inlet to help route air to the top of the intercooler, eliminating heat soak at the bottom of the intercooler, and dispersing the air more efficiently.

MAPerformance had the best price, and very fast shipping, esp considering it was free. Arrived in perfect condition and well protected. The intercooler itself is very well made and does the job. Bought as an upgrade for the heatsoak-prone, and restrictive stock intercooler on my 2018 Elantra Sport. It doesn't have much mounting options (1 M8 sized bolt per side), but i was able to make a bracket for it. Highly recommend the intercooler and MAPerformance.
Modern Performance shipped quickly. From ordering to my front door was less than a week. Absolutely the best price I could find online by a good margin (about $50 cheaper than anywhere else I could find).
This is my first Treadstone Intercooler, and the quality is excellent. The item was well packaged and protected. The welds are very good and the cast end tanks are clean, low profile, and well designed. IAT versus my older tube and fin design was reduced by 10C during track events.
I'm running a Garrett 2560 at 14psi on a 1.8L Miata (BP4W). Making 250whp.
My only complaint is with the limited mounting options (single threaded hole on the outer side of each end take). I was able to come up with a mounting system that works well for me, but for other applications, you may need different mounting points.
This intercooler comes very well packaged and looks well made. I am using this on a Colt I swapped to a 4g63 and this is tight but works very well for short route piping even with a/c and power steering in place. It also tucks in very well under the stock bumper cover after some pretty serious trimming of the steel support and some foam. Idling, my piping is cold to the touch at the TB so it is working well. I have no doubles it will handle the power level I'm going to be throwing at it. Only thing that was a little annoying was the intercooler was drop shipped from Treadstone which took at extra 3 days to ship out. But pricing was good and no issues with the quality of this part.
Best price here and core is great quality. I got it for my mazdaspeed 3 and it was a perfect fit. Really recommend this core of you buying everything seperate.
The one I got was not an off the shelf TR6. It had a TR6 core, but it had hacked up "need to make one now" end tanks on it. They took end tanks from a bigger model, cut them down and welded them back together. Then welded the CNC hose ends on. So it doesn't look pretty and half the "treadstone" label is missing but it works fine. If this was a show car then it wouldn't work, but since it's now in my daily driver it works wonderfully. I gave it a 4/5 only because the seller did not notify the customer that it was going to be a modified TR6
