a serious must for every evo 8/9

I have had my 2004 Evo 8 for about 5 years and have put 40k miles on the car. My entire shifting situation left a ton to be desired. I swapped in the stainless 1 piece line and the solid bushings and everything went in easy and fit perfect.I also threw in a new slave cylinder for good measure and removed the clutch restricter pill from it. The hardest part was getting the master cylinder out to remove the old rubber line from it and attach the new one. You may be able to get a very specific step style wrench on it and avoid this step, but i didn't have one. Upon the first drive the difference was instant. Between the clutch line and the clutch pill removal, the clutch has become solid and consistent which is exactly what i was looking for. My clutch used to by spongy and have a "step" in it that would make the car buck and make me feel like i didn't know how to drive. These problems are history. My stock 80k mile clutch feels brand new again. The shifter bushings make the shifter feel like a rifle bold also. the old ones cam out easy by soaking them in penetrant then pushing out the old rubber bushings with a flat head. the new bushings 2 piece design allows them to go in extremely easy. They give a satisfying and direct feel to the shifter and pair amazing with my refreshed clutch. I haven't smiled so much behind the wheel of my car in a long time. I would recommend this to any evo owner and would recommend the other parts and steps i took with my install also. stm ftw
