Every single photo on the internet is deceiving, as they all make the shift knob look somewhat matte colored. However, it is high gloss, just like a pool table 8 ball. I could be wrong, but the diameter seems to be the same as the stock knob. Also, some of the item descriptions say the Steeda knob gives you better grip. But with my experiences, that's a false statement because my hands sweat way more with the Steeda knob. The only way it would be more grippy over the stock knob is if your hands don't sweat at all, or if you wear driving gloves. All in all, it looks great and I'm happy with it.
Note: I had a performance shop install the shift knob along with the Steeda Tri ax race short shifter and they said that there was a bushing or something like that, that needs to be transfered from the stock knob in order to make the reverse lockout collar work correctly.
