Front Fender Vent Rock Guards for 2023+ Honda Civic Type-R by PRL Motorsports
The functional front fender vents on the FL5 Civic Type-R help manage airflow around the front of the vehicle, but they can also create a direct path for rocks and debris kicked up by the front tires. This becomes especially noticeable with wider or stickier tire setups, where debris passing through the vents can contact the doors and surrounding bodywork, leading to unwanted paint chips and scratches.
PRL Motorsports Front Fender Vent Guards provide an added layer of protection without compromising the function or factory appearance of the FL5's fender vents. Each guard is constructed from 1 mm thick 304 stainless steel and finished in a wrinkle black powder coat. By using stainless steel beneath the coating, the guards remain corrosion resistant even if repeated impacts eventually chip or wear the powder-coated finish.
The mesh pattern was designed to complement the lower grille of the OEM front bumper, giving the guards an OEM+ appearance that blends naturally into the factory fender wells and vents. The open mesh construction maintains functional airflow through the vents while helping block larger rocks and debris before they can reach the side of the vehicle.
