08-14 WRX / 08-21 STI AFTA-MAF Intake Tube by Perrin Performance

Create smooth and even airflow while adding style under your hood with the PERRIN Afta-MAF Intake Tube. The PERRIN Afta-MAF Intake Tube is perfectly smooth on the inside and has a significantly larger internal diameter than the OEM part. By removing the pleats found in the OEM hose, the increased air flow makes more horsepower, decreases turbo spool time, and improves acceleration.

The PERRIN Afta-MAF Intake Tube replaces the factory corrugated rubber hose between the inlet tube and air box. This is an awesome part for restoring a high mileage or older WRX, STI, or Legacy GT. These older parts can become hard and brittle, and may very likely develop cracks or holes in the original part. Available in red or black silicone.

Nice Addition Without Buying a Full Intake

Bought one of these on sale, because I heard some decent things about it. I don't have an Access Port just yet, and wanted upgrades I can do without tuning. Car is stock, minus a catback exhaust. Looks good under the hood. The material does get a little dirty. Hose is a really tight fit, so use some oil. This did help my spooling a little, especially from under 2000 RPMS. As for hearing the BPV (blowoff), it's like turning the TV up by one notch. It was noticeable at night with the windows down, now it's even more noticeable at night with the windows down.
