Adding a P2R intake manifold gasket will help reduce air intake temperatures by removing the direct connection between the intake manifold and the cylinder head. By simply placing this thermal gasket between the intake manifold and cylinder head, you will reduce the amount of head soak accumulated between the cylinder head and intake manifold, that would be absorbed by the intake manifold on typical applications.
