1.) All MAPerformance in-house fabricated parts include a Limited Lifetime Warranty for the Original Purchaser. This warranty only applies to the original purchaser and is non-transferrable. If the product fails it would need to be determined by MAPerformance that it is due to manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship. The purchaser will be responsible for sending the product back, after contacting MAPerformance and reporting the failure. Further instructions will be provided by MAPerformance.
2.) This does not cover normal wear and tear. Improper use, modification, or abuse voids this warranty. MAPerformance will not be held responsible for additional costs due to the failure of a product (cost of sale, towing, labor, etc.). Warranty claims must be submitted to MAPerformance for review. Products that are factory coated must adhere to the break in process. Only products coated by MAPerformance will be covered. Products will not be covered if wrapped.
3.) MAPerformance “Limited Lifetime” Warranty does not apply to all products. Kits, packages, bundles, or any non fabricated parts and products by MAPerformance are not warrantied. Engines and engine assemblies are not warrantied. Cast components are warrantied for 3 years from purchase date.
Install was simple and easy compared to the stock parts and it sounds great with the intake and complete exhaust from M.A. Performance.
The joint pipe and front pipe combo arrived on time and package for shipping with molded foam. I thermal wrapped the joint pipe and coated it and the front pipe with high temp silicone paint. I'm still shopping for a few other upgrades before install, I'll update when that time comes. Just a thought... stickers would of been the chef's kiss but not a big deal.
The pipe did increase the volume of my current set up (MAP EL catted header and AWE touring exhaust). There were no fitment issues, but with the AWE exhaust, it is to much for me. I'm now going to replace the AWE exhaust with the MAP exhaust. I prefer a more deeper tone vs the higher pitch of the AWE exhaust. I believe I would have liked for MAP to have a resonator option like the JDL one, I'm now getting a raspy sound. With me being older now, my tastes have change some.
It's a great upgrade. Matches now with the MAP catback kit I installed last year. The install instructions are a bit sparse. A few tips: remove heat shielding to be able to fit wrenches in to remove the old front pipe. When you are at the step to remove the overpipe, it's better to detatch it from the headers first before removing the heat shielding because the nut for the ring going around the heat shielding is really hard to reach. Use something to give you leverage to get the original bolts off. Also, there was no way that I found at first to wiggle the old overpipe out from its home and distressingly, the forums and YouTube videos I saw told me to lift the engine to get it out. However, I sacrificed a pair of pliers to pry off a metal tab on the old overpipe (it has a screw attached, it's where the heat shielding was mounted to), and once I broke the tab off, I could finally maneuver the old overpipe out towards the rear of the car. It looks so clean with the new pipes. It is about 25-30% louder under heavy throttle and the pitch of the exhaust is lower. The exhaust sound is way more complex now because it's not just louder and lower pitch it's also got a really gnarly raspy thrum that is sharp and bright layered on top of the exhaust note when you give it a lot of gas. Just as many pops when downshifting as with the catback exhaust kit alone.
If you’re looking for something that gives your car a unique tone, this is it. With the 3-inch piping, you get a noticeably deeper exhaust note. I’ll admit it’s definitely louder, so if you’re not trying to wake the neighbors, you might want to go for something quieter or stick with your stock pipe.
Overall, the fit and finish were great. I paired this with MAPerformance headers, and everything lined up perfectly. The 2-in-1 design and oval bolt openings made installation smooth. Not sure what headers the previous reviewer was having issues with.
I’d recommend this setup if you don’t mind the extra decibels for a deeper tone and improved performance.
