Mitsubishi Evo X Cat-Back Exhaust System by MAPerformance

We are no strangers to the ever-evolving platform that is the Mitsubishi Evolution X, so when we set out to re-design our Catback exhaust we had a few key ideas in mind on how to execute.

A simplistic design that will stand the test of time, we started with our in-house bent 304 Stainless Steel Tubing that was then handcrafted into the piece you see pictured above. We also tucked it up as close to the chassis as possible, with the lowered cars in mind.

Whether you prefer a single exit or dual exit we keep the simple and stylish approach we are looking for in the rear valence. As for sound, they each have the perfect mix of aggressive and subtle for the consumer that drives their car every day, but when the time is right the sound really comes alive.

1.) All MAPerformance in-house fabricated parts include a Limited Lifetime Warranty for the Original Purchaser. This warranty only applies to the original purchaser and is non-transferrable. If the product fails it would need to be determined by MAPerformance that it is due to manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship. The purchaser will be responsible for sending the product back, after contacting MAPerformance and reporting the failure. Further instructions will be provided by MAPerformance.

2.) This does not cover normal wear and tear. Improper use, modification, or abuse voids this warranty. MAPerformance will not be held responsible for additional costs due to the failure of a product (cost of sale, towing, labor, etc.). Warranty claims must be submitted to MAPerformance for review. Products that are factory coated must adhere to the break in process. Only products coated by MAPerformance will be covered. Products will not be covered if wrapped.

3.) MAPerformance “Limited Lifetime” Warranty does not apply to all products. Kits, packages, bundles, or any non fabricated parts and products by MAPerformance are not warrantied. Engines and engine assemblies are not warrantied. Cast components are warrantied for 3 years from purchase date.

Great product overall

I know every setup is different but this exhaust fit perfectly with the map mid pipe, the torque solutions exhaust mounts and an ets open dump down pipe. Just made sure to get everything where I wanted it before tightening up any connections. No issues with burning the stock bumper with either tip at all. All the pieces make it easy to install by yourself. This is the sound I was looking for. The clamps for the burnt tips didn't work very well and I had to use different ones is my only complaint.

Sounds Wonderful, Finesse Fitment

Sounds wonderful once installed.
Midpipe fit amazing with no need to trim the cat shielding like I've seen others.
Now the 2 rear mufflers, I had to rotate the hangers on both sides from how stock had them. Now once they're on hangers, I was able to tilt and rotate so that wasy fitment was straight and not shifted. This felt like extra work, but it really wasn't.
The worst problem are the tips. They didnt grip for me and I even snapped a ring tightening too much.

Awesome single exit exhaust

I am very impressed on the sound of this exhaust. I running a complete stock 08 evo x, I purchased the maperformance single exit with no muffler and wow!, don’t know how to explain this. Evo sounds amazing 10 out 10, crackles and pops, and just sounds amazing. Exhaust is loud on cold starts, and might wake up the neighbors. But once car is warmed up, sound decibel goes down and sounds nice. A bit loud inside the cabin but tolerable. Figment was great no issues at all and not crooked or bent. Very affordable, MAP has super fast shipping and knows how to package there goods. Definitely recommend this exhaust if you are just looking to adding some awesome sound to your life. Exhaust looks stock and doesn’t attract attention, but the sound might. Anyway, I give it a 10/10.

10/10 sound, 7/10 Fitment

Exhaust sounds great, and is pretty quiet coming from straight pipe. Install was a breeze for an experienced driveway mechanic. Only complaints are that the exhaust fits pretty well, just a bit too far towards the driver side. (as seen in pics) Also the in cabin-noise is still a bit loud with the windows down. Other than these two minor things, it is a wonderful exhaust!

It’s exactly how I pictured it except the stock rubber hangers don’t fit properly behind the muffler they don’t line up with both holes from hanger to hold.
