MK7 Catted Downpipe by MAPerformance – MK7/MK7.5 GTI

Installation Instructions
1.) All MAPerformance in-house fabricated parts include a Limited Lifetime Warranty for the Original Purchaser. This warranty only applies to the original purchaser and is non-transferrable. If the product fails it would need to be determined by MAPerformance that it is due to manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship. The purchaser will be responsible for sending the product back, after contacting MAPerformance and reporting the failure. Further instructions will be provided by MAPerformance.
2.) This does not cover normal wear and tear. Improper use, modification, or abuse voids this warranty. MAPerformance will not be held responsible for additional costs due to the failure of a product (cost of sale, towing, labor, etc.). Warranty claims must be submitted to MAPerformance for review. Products that are factory coated must adhere to the break in process. Only products coated by MAPerformance will be covered. Products will not be covered if wrapped.
3.) MAPerformance “Limited Lifetime” Warranty does not apply to all products. Kits, packages, bundles, or any non fabricated parts and products by MAPerformance are not warrantied. Engines and engine assemblies are not warrantied. Cast components are warrantied for 3 years from purchase date.

Awesome catted downpipe for my mk7.5 Gti. Sounds great, once warmed up and highway crusing sounds nearly stock. Jump on it and you get a deep growl and faster turbo spool that pulls until redline. Very very little drone (i went with non-resonated) only if in a high gear under load at 23-2500 rpm. Quality and fitment are excellent.
Installation is a breeze. Getting the factory down pipe is a lot harder. I recommend asking a buddy with a lift. I did it on my driveway with ramps and I had to fight it. All in all good quality, installation very easy. The sound is amazing
Sound great and was an easy install. Has some growl but no tinny rasp at all. Very hard to do a turbo back for a gti with no tinny noice but they nailed it. Literally the only issue I had was the back part of the exhaust was a little too close to a part of the frame once the dp was in, but a little piece of leftover silicone Intercooler piping between the frame and the exhaust fixed that. No big deal. My guess it it’s from ordering the exhaust with the factory downpipe connection maybe pushed it back a tiny bit too much but either way, it sounds great and looks great
This downpipe is the perfect pair for a stock "ish" sounding exhaust with stage 2+ performance. I got the catted and resonated pair. The tone sets in at higher RPMs, with added growl. This allows for the paring of an exhaust of your choice, or stock catback for OEM+ or sleeper feel. All at a great price! I installed this in under four hours, by myself, on jack stands, and that includes the time it took to tune to Stage 2. Easily doable for a novice within a few hours time. Highly recommend MAPerformance!
