2008-2015 Mitsubishi Evo X 3.5" Short Ram Intake with Velocity Stack & Heat Shield by MAPerformance
Our Rev2 short ram intake was designed for use with aftermarket lower intercooler pipes (AMS, etc.) that relocate the BOV return closer to the front of the vehicle.
It features 3.5" aluminum tubing for improved power capacity with the stock mass airflow sensor (will require tuning / scaling) & a massive 6" velocity stack coupled with a K&N air filter for maximum induction performance.
This kit comes with a boost controller re-circulation vent fitting and a block off plug as well as couplers and clamps for the stock and 3" turbo inlet. You will end up with an extra coupler and clamp with this kit.
Ceramic Coating: Our advanced ceramic coating option helps control heat soak. The piece is coated in a thermal barrier that looks great and protect wires and hoses from heat. Please note the coating may need some extra "curing" to prevent flaking after installation. Please allow the part to heat up during normal driving or idling and then completely cool before putting it through it's paces.

The intake itself is fantastic, great fitment and it's massive! The recirculation hoses not so much... they suck. The pipe coming off the intake is 1.5" (38mm) so the hoses are also 1.5" but the evo BOV is only 34mm so you have to suck down a 4mm gap with the hose clamp. I ended up cutting up the factory recirculation hose and it was way better, tight fit over the 1.5 pipe but doable. I used a 45 bend to mount the bov to the lower pipe and the S bend section to attach the bov to the intake, it perfectly bends around the heat shield and its a tight fit on the bov so I'm not worried about a boost leak.
My friend has this in his evo. I got the AMS one. I wish i could go back and get this one instead of the AMS one. It’s a better design with getting more cool than hot air than the AMS one is.
