R Type Intercooler Kit by HKS
Introducing the new HKS R-Type Intercooler for the Mitsubishi EVO IX. The new R-type core was developed specially for the EVO kit in order to improve response. Because front mount layout usually has the detriment of slow response, the pipe layout is designed as straight and short as possible. It enables as quick boost response as stock intercooler. When a vehicle is stopped, stock intercooler core keeps heat inside from the engine compartment and then, when the car starts, sometimes knocking occurs and engine is damaged. Front mount intercooler decreases intake air temperature (20 deg. C less than stock intercooler) and it enables safe and reliable tuning.
