I do like the customization this controller offers, the instructions are in Japanese, but Greddy does have a easy to follow PDF on their website. Read it, it has a lot of useful information.

It`s a must, in other word, a sunk cost for the setup.
This is a mandatory unit for the Sirius setup, I missed the old days that the gauges are cheap and no fancy bits are needed to make it work.
