You have the boost turned up, and the best injectors that money can buy but something isn’t quite getting the job done? You may need more spark energy and the new MAPerformance coil on Plug Kit for the EVO 8 and 9 is here to deliver! Starting with our USA made CNC Billet mounting plate, we designed this for not only a simple install, but also wanted it to be a centerpiece of your engine bay style wise. Lots of time was taken on the fit and finish, along with the Stainless hardware choice to keep it looking perfect for a long time coming!
Next up are the coils, we have chosen to utilize the Genuine Denso coils for our Basic kit (Rated to 700hp). These coils are going to offer the long lasting quality and dependability you would expect from an OEM manufacturer, giving you the peace of mind that replacing burnt up coils wont be in your near future! Along with these coils we have supplied our direct fit wiring harness, made of high quality wire and connectors, it is sleeved in abrasion resistant material and will be plug and play for the Evo 4-9!

1.) All MAPerformance in-house fabricated parts include a Limited Lifetime Warranty for the Original Purchaser. This warranty only applies to the original purchaser and is non-transferrable. If the product fails it would need to be determined by MAPerformance that it is due to manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship. The purchaser will be responsible for sending the product back, after contacting MAPerformance and reporting the failure. Further instructions will be provided by MAPerformance.
2.) This does not cover normal wear and tear. Improper use, modification, or abuse voids this warranty. MAPerformance will not be held responsible for additional costs due to the failure of a product (cost of sale, towing, labor, etc.). Warranty claims must be submitted to MAPerformance for review. Products that are factory coated must adhere to the break in process. Only products coated by MAPerformance will be covered. Products will not be covered if wrapped.
3.) MAPerformance “Limited Lifetime” Warranty does not apply to all products. Kits, packages, bundles, or any non fabricated parts and products by MAPerformance are not warrantied. Engines and engine assemblies are not warrantied. Cast components are warrantied for 3 years from purchase date.
Pros: COP kit plate has a great finish, the CNC performed leaves a tasteful looking piece for your engine bay.
Cons: MAP's wiring harness is faulty. The male terminal connector ends had a difficult time clicking into the engine's female ends and would only click into place if you applied enough force at an angle. The car had a 50/50 chance of starting as the wiring harness would not provide the current to coil packs to start the car. I ended up having to purchase a different wiring harness which was night and day. The other harness clicked without any issues and solved my starting issues no problem.
All in all, MAP really dropped the ball with their wiring harness. Once this harness gets revised I'd say its a perfect product but buyer beware. You do not want your new COP upgrade to become a troubleshooting nightmare.
Received COP kit with incorrect harness. Called customer service and it goes to an offshore call center. Agent has no idea what a car is and was quite useless to talk to. Ended up just returning the entire order since the person had no clue how to do anything else. Will order from a company who values American employment.
