Temps are much better after installing this air box. I added this to my MAPerformance intake and it has brought down temps to a respectable levels. I live in Florida and I bought this in the month of June. So, super humid-here and this was the solution I needed for all the heat soak that was happening.
Got this for the MAP intake based on other reviews on this page. Can confirm it works well. The top panel of the intake housing does press down on the top of the MAP intake filter however this does not harm either part in any way. The biggest thing is this box keeps the engine heat out and intake temps within 2°C of ambient.
Got this to pair with MAP intake. Good fit and works great to keep temps down.
It actually works well and reduces the in cabin noise a little but you can still hear it. keep those Intake temps down too
I wrapped mine in thermal tape to help keep down the heat. Here in Phoenix, AZ it’s brutally hot. Seems to help. I’ve felt the box after a hot day in the sun and it’s still warm but no blazing to the touch. Overall I’m happy with it. Makes the engine bay look way better IMHO.
