Proving Grounds is one of the biggest sport-compact racing events in the midwest. Cars from all over the country get together at Brainerd International Raceway to partake in a weekend of racing, parties, and more racing! Proving Grounds consists of 7 events, each designed to push your car to the limits for cash prizes, gift cards, and most importantly - street cred.
Having limited experience in the Evo world, it’s been super rad to have MAPerformance by my side to help get the right parts the first time around.
Everyone I interact with at MAPerformance is an enthusiast like me, and they stock all the parts that I want and need for maintenance or modification. They know what they’re talking about & make it so easy to get what I need.
Real car dudes, they don't just sell the parts, They use them every day in their own vehicles.
That’s why we trust MAP!
After visiting the MAP facility I was blown away by the quality of their products, the cutting edge R&D, and best of all, the culture they've built by hiring a team of enthusiasts that love what they do!
“It shut our Evo 9 up nicely!”
The location has stayed the same thanks to the amazing staff at Brainerd International Raceway. We hope to see lots of people utilizing this extra day to set up camp and get into the event before the crowds..

Racer registration is done in the BIR Shirt Shack located on the ground floor of the Condo building. Racing is a la carte, meaning racers can run as many events as they'd like and simply need to register/pay for each different event they'd like to participate in.
Brainerd International Raceway's quarter-mile drag strip is the fastest track in the world. The track is one of the favorite stops for pro drivers on the NHRA Nationals circuit after it was reconstructed in 2005. A new 700-foot concrete launch pad was added and new asphalt for the remaining 600 feet was installed. The new concrete launch pad creates superior traction for high-powered cars, generating high speeds and fast times. BIR's drag strip is one of the safest tracks in the country. Its half-mile shutdown area allows racers plenty of time to slow their cars down.
The new championship-style road course uses portions of BIR's 3.1-mile Donnybrooke Road Course but involves a new stretch of track that was built in 2008. Turns 1 through 8 of the original 3.1-mile road course is still used for the new circuit but at Turn 8, and BIR built a 300-degree right-hand Clover Leaf that transitions drivers from the old course to the new stretch of asphalt that winds its way back across the infield, eventually tying back into the original circuit just before Turn 1. In all, the Competition Road Course features 13 turns and very little elevation change but is still challenging for experienced drivers and fun for novices.
