3 Evo X Air Intake Kit With K&N Filter By MAPerformance
Our 3 short ram intake was designed for use with aftermarket lower intercooler pipes such as the AMS and ETS kits. Also works with the stock lower intercooler pipe. These lower FMIC pipes relocate the BOV return closer to the front of the vehicle, making your factory BOV system useless. Furthermore, removal of the recirculated BOV setup requires additional work, such as a tune. This is not always an option for those budget minded individuals. So a convenient aftermarket option was needed.
The MAPerformance Evo X Intake Kit features a 3 304 stainless steel tube. Why stainless you ask? It's a well-known fact that steel reduces heat absorption compared to aluminum tubing. Lower heat improves power capacity with the stock mass airflow sensor, so our kit will not require tuning or scaling. Coupled with a high-flow air filter, you'll get maximum induction performance.

1.) All MAPerformance in-house fabricated parts include a Limited Lifetime Warranty for the Original Purchaser. This warranty only applies to the original purchaser and is non-transferrable. If the product fails it would need to be determined by MAPerformance that it is due to manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship. The purchaser will be responsible for sending the product back, after contacting MAPerformance and reporting the failure. Further instructions will be provided by MAPerformance.
2.) This does not cover normal wear and tear. Improper use, modification, or abuse voids this warranty. MAPerformance will not be held responsible for additional costs due to the failure of a product (cost of sale, towing, labor, etc.). Warranty claims must be submitted to MAPerformance for review. Products that are factory coated must adhere to the break in process. Only products coated by MAPerformance will be covered. Products will not be covered if wrapped.
3.) MAPerformance “Limited Lifetime” Warranty does not apply to all products. Kits, packages, bundles, or any non fabricated parts and products by MAPerformance are not warrantied. Engines and engine assemblies are not warrantied. Cast components are warrantied for 3 years from purchase date.
ok, so I got my hands on a ARC box and I had no way of connecting it. Originally I had the KN typhoon but it bent in a different Direction I also couldnt fit it because the MAF housing was coupled so it added way too much length and complicated the fabricators job and would look ugly. After seeing this part, the tube resembled the OEM one, it eliminated the MAF housing keeping the design elegant, and avoid using plastic. I had to cut it shorter, design a flange and have it welded on. cut the crank case tube and weld on a barbed fitting, one thing I didnt account was the BOV tube, it hits my coolant hose, but this is because my build angles it, it wont if you use it normally. I also had to cut up my mishimoto hose to make it fit, the hoses that it comes with are larger than stock so beware of the sized differences. I love how it ended up looking, MAP helped me answer questions along the way that led me to make it fit the first try. 50hrs spent from concept, Cading, 3d printing and finishing. 200miles later no leaks, no check engine light.
I replaced the old AMS CAI with this CAI. The old setup was beat up and worn out from the previous owners. I wanted a light setup, but ultimately settled on this because stainless steel has less heat soak issues. Opted for the wrinkle black to help with creating an additional thermal barrier. It also looks awesome. Even though it doesn't come with instructions or have them at all for that matter. Installing is pretty much straight forward.
