Great looks, shaky fit, not sure about motorsports functionality

Got this because I loved the look, and installed it looks fantastic! However, the fit is a not spot on - sitting on the hood before it gets bolted down, mine was obviously warped a bit, with one corner lifting up from the hood. I had to tighten the bolts very tight in order to draw it down flush to the hood. Getting the bolt holes lined up with the holes in the hood so you can get the bolts threaded in was tricky, likely due to the warp the piece had. Two of the bolt holes in the piece had material in the threads that I had to chase in order to get the bolts fully into their holes. The louver openings aren't as wide as I was hoping, so I was concerned my tubular header wouldn't be vented as well as it needs to be (I usually run with just the wire mesh OEM cover in place, and removed the factory aluminum panel). While in use, the piece had a bit of a soapy smell once it got heated up. I only ran with it on the car for one round trip, so I don't know if it would dissipate over time or not.
