I installed the Recaro pole position seat by myself in my 1997 subaru GF8 wagon. Parts required were the pole position seat, spec-d mounting bracket (specific to my subaru), and the recaro seat rails. Fairly simple to put together into my subaru. Getting the oem seat out was my biggest hassle.
Ride height is a little lower than oem (maybe an inch or two lower- good if you’re a tall person like me). Very comfortable seat. I daily drive my GF8 wagon 41 miles to work and back. I really prefer the comfortable yet sporty feel of this seat over my oem driver seat.
If you daily drive your vehicle invest in rails, otherwise only other part required is a mounting bracket for the seat.
This seat is amazing, very comfortable. I recommend getting the Planted Technology side mounts and seat base unless you plan to use sliders with this seat. Overall very happy with this purchase
