2015-2021 Volkswagen GTI Front Mount Intercooler by CTS Turbo

CTS Turbo is pleased to announce the release of our Front Mount Intercooler (FMIC) for the MK7/MK7.5 GTI. The CTS Turbo FMIC Kit for the MK7/MK7.5 GTI is an excellent upgrade for any stock or modified car.

Increasing the core volume and the intercooler placement has resulted in significant cooling improvements, including reduced heat soak and reduced charged air temperatures.

These improvements can be attributed to our large high-density intercooler core, and smooth flowing cast aluminum end tanks. This kit features an impressive bar and plate intercooler core, 4 ply silicon couplers, stainless steel T-Bolt clamps and requires no trimming to your OEM bumper or rebar!

Good intercooler option for non big turbo cars

My GTI is Stage II and I knew I needed to upgrade the intercooler as the stock one heatsoaks pretty easily. This upgrade is easier than upgrading to a stock location intercooler. While upgrading the stock location intercooler will give the best results, adding a FMIC is much easier and less time consuming, especially if your car is still on the stock turbo like mine. Now I can do repeated pulls without the car getting really hot. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade in my opinion.
