The SF Air Box adds the benefits of a cold air intake to the outstanding performance of the SF Intake. The factory inlet directs cold air from the front grill to the SF Airbox, which encloses the SF Intake. Hot engine bay air that robs horsepower is prevented from entering the intake system to provide consistent intake performance. This unique design also separates rainwater from the intake air, eliminating the water ingestion issues that plague in-fender cold air intakes. This intake airbox is constructed of 16 gauge aluminum, consisting of a one piece surround, directional lid, stainless steel hardware and all the necessary components for a seamless install with OEM quality fit and finish.

Easy install and easy power increase from complete stock set up
Cobb always makes quality products, this one is no exception, great fit and function way cooler air charge even works with turbo xs CAI
I started off not wanting to put on the intake box with my new intake simply due to me thinking it wont let me hear all the choo choo noises I wanted. After driving for a few weeks I noticed that my intake temps were roughly 20-30F above ambient which was super odd to me as my friends were never more than 10F above ambient. So I decided to put the box on and bam temps were now much better and at worst 15F above ambient on real hot days.
Its fairly easy to intall and wish it came with a bit more rubber edging but cant really complain, fits well except for the top. Not sure if it was just me messing up the install or what but the top plate was hard to get to fit after getting my intake guide in. Super odd. But overall cant complain works great and still can hear my turbo and my choo choo noises.
