Racing Hyper Multi Series SDF Type Clutch Kit by Exedy
For high-powered applications, EXEDY offers twin and triple Multi-Plate clutches. These are designed for high power street action as well as drag, road and rally racing. The twin plate clutches are rated for approximately 500 ft/lbs of torque and the triple plates are rated for approximately 800 ft/lbs of torque, both figures at the flywheel. Twins come with both spring damper discs or solid discs depending on application, whereas triples are all solid discs and not recommended for street use.
All EXEDY Hyper Multi-Plate clutches come with a lightweight, chromoly steel flywheel and the famous purple anodized forged aluminum clutch cover. Depending on the application, we have both strap drive and lug drive models. All have T5001 cerametallic friction materials for extreme heat resistance. Surprisingly, even with it’s additional power capability, most multi-plate clutches exhibit light pedal pressure thanks to a half-engaged “zone” provided by the patented clutch “cushion” function.
This model has been developed for high performance street cars with up to approximately 550TQ @ FW. They feature full faced organic friction discs for improved drivability while maintaining excellent power holding capability.

This clutch feels OEM aside from a very short bite point which is not a problem after getting used to it. very clean shifts and fast. the clutch does make some noise that you will clearly hear while city driving, but that's what you have to expect out of a clutch with this performance ability! Overall no complaints and highly recommended!
This clutch is perfect for daily driving. Comparable to stock with a little heavier pedal feel. The chatter is barely noticeable. No regrets!
Install on these cars is never pleasant. Exedy has great instructions. I did have trouble with the initial lock collar and ended up replacing with the ACT monoloc collar #884006p. Just note it did take a second to get the initial snap and seated into the throw out bearing so do not be discouraged if you go this route. The pedal is very light comparable to stock and coming from a ACT street HDSS disc. Shifts are buttery smooth paired with the red line cocktail, TWM short shifter with cage and upgraded bearings on shift lever.

Had this clutch installed and I must say it’s comparable to stock in terms of pedal feel. Engagement is smooth and honestly chatter isn’t noticeable after the first few days of driving. Would recommend to anyone that was debating.
