Fits perfect with no modification required on '21 STi. Loud turbo and recirc sounds! Minimal performance gains don't really justify the price, however the smiles per gallon increase exponentially so that's enough justification for me. Also, the stage 1+ OTS tune from Cobb is a night and day difference from stock. The car pulls better through the full RPM range, and the boost select is nice. I'm sure a pro-tune would be even better, so that's next on my list.
Great build design. Well thought out design. Looks and sounds wonderful with the open turbo sound. Definitely have to have the Cobb accessport with the proper map either from MAPerformance or from Cobb.
Just installed my COBB SF intake + airbox along with COBB stage 3 components. Love the sound. Coming off of stage 2, I could not here too much turbo spooling. Now I can. Sound is great and its giving me a better understanding of my boost pressure. Install was a snap (compared to fuel system upgrade). Instructions were good and it was the easiest install of any part i purchased. I would recommend this product.
So you got a WRX STi and you really just can't hear the bypass valve nor any awesome suction and turbo spooling sounds. You want that, of course, and what you want to do is buy this intake to make those dreams a reality. Seriously, even with the airbox on, the suction and bypass valve sounds are quite noticeable both inside and outside the car. You will really like the sound it makes under normal driving conditions from 2500 to 3500 rpms. The bypass valve is a notifceable whoosh from 3000 rpm and if you shift at say 5500 or 6k, it's a mega whoosh! You'll love it. Buy it! Just make sure you buy the Cobb Accessport first or at the same time, as you MUST put a tune on the car to match the performance mods.
