Great Fit and Finish Easy to install.

As the title states, the Fit and Finish of the exhaust system is immaculate. It was super easy to install. It took longer to get the OEM exhaust off than to install The Cobb system. It is not much louder than the stock exhaust. Its actually louder with the Stage0 Cobb tune than the stage 1 Tune. Highly recommended.

I would also recommend using a lift to install it, the OEM exhaust comes off in one piece. If you do it your self in your garage or drive way, put the front on ramps (I used some extra 2X6 planks to give it some more height on the front) and the rear on Jack stands. Have someone to grab the rear section before you pull it off.

Nice clean finish, not the easiest install

Had some hiccups at first, as cobb didnt' send me the clamps for it. Thankfully you can find them at any auto store for $10 a piece. Install was somewhat of a pain, as the pinch joints are slightly too small and required a little hammering to get all 3 pieces together, and of course the stock hangers are never easy to take off. It does look very nice, and saves at least 10-15lbs of weight, which is nice too. The sound isn't much louder, as I can still easily hear the engine as well, with soundaktor turned off. But the tone of it is much meaner and deeper. Getting on it, you can tell it definitely is louder and sounds great. With the stock DP, I haven't really noticed any drone, so thats also a plus. Would buy again, so long as cobb sent me everything with it next time.

Great catback

Install was fairly easy. Definitely made it harder on myself by doing the install on jack stands. The sound isn't much louder than before. Some but not a lot. The sound is much crisper however with faint crackles and pops. Overall I feel it's a great quality product that'll give you the sound and style you want without waking the neighbors (unless you want to. ;) )

COBB Quality fit and finish

Everybody is talking and purchasing AWE, CTS, Borla etc etc but nobody is talking about COBB cat back exhaust. Cobb’s cat back is finely crafted, looks nice, sounds nice and decently priced for what u get. I got mine and very satisfied I went with Cobb.

A gorgeous looking exhaust

I couldn't find any real reviews or sound clips of this exhaust anywhere on the internet for the mk7, so.....I bought it anyway since no one else had it haha. The weld quality is beautiful at every junction, the pipes are all of a good thickness (forgot to measure, sorry) and fitment was extremely easy. Installation for the exhaust on the mk7 GTi even in a paved driveway...takes about 30 minutes (even less if you've done it before) without having to rush. If I can remember off the top of my head, the only tools you'll need to install this catback is a 13mm socket, 16mm socket, a 10mm socket, and something to pry the exhaust hanger off depending on how you decide to do things. The factory exhaust is off in about 10 minutes (no joke), it's only a few bolts, and comes off in a single large piece. The Cobb goes back on as one piece as well (I did this alone, so it's definitely a one man job viable option).

The tips look fantastic out back, the sound is very much like stock during normal driving outside of a little extra noise around 2600-3krpm or so where it has a bit more volume if it's totallyl quiet in the car no radio no talking no windows open. Outside of that it's just like stock, but it's got more bass when you get on it, it's a very very very very clean sound for sure. I had this installed on my first mk7 with a DSG and the pops were a bit louder though not CRAZY louder since it was the factory DP installed still.

Once this thing gets some heat in it, my goodness does it look good. It's definitely worth the asking price. I've put up a few videos of the exhaust sound on my YouTube channel for reference. Pixel XL mounted outside the hatch (bravery ftw) with my photography mounts. Cold start, normal driving, and long pulls all have video taken the same way. Cold start video here, you can find the rest very easily once you're there. https://youtu.be/Wl6YCjBt1pI
