O2 Eliminator Downpipe - Recirc
This integrated O2 housing Evo 10 downpipe, or O2 eliminator as they are often referred to, removes some of the largest restrictions in the factory Mitsubishi Evolution 10 exhaust system for significant horsepower gains throughout the power band!
Available with either the normal stainless steel finish or coated with our advanced ceramic coating. This black ceramic coating increases exhaust velocity and reduces underhood temperatures for improved performance and appearance. We also offer this product with CNC 3D contoured flange, the standard flange has been performing flawlessly for the majority of our customers since this product's inception in 2009, but there have been a handful of customers that experienced boost creep when trying to run lower boost levels (less than 25psi) with upgraded turbochargers.
Ceramic Coating: Our advanced ceramic coating option helps control heat soak. The piece is coated in a thermal barrier (available in black only) that looks great and protects wires and hoses from heat. Please note the coating may need some extra "curing" to prevent flaking after installation. Please allow the part to heat up during normal driving or idling and then completely cool before putting it through it's paces.

Warranty
I have bought pretty much everything that I can for my evo x Maperformance since I had never had an issue with any of their products up until I purchased the downpipe which hits the firewall I had reached out to them to see if anything can be done but the only answer they gave me was because of me running different aftermarket parts and that there is nothing they can do but from what I read from other people’s experience and some friends In the evo x community they don’t run into this issue when they also have had aftermarket parts installed with the same Maperformance downpipe I’m just writing this review just as a warning in case anyone does run into the same issue I’ve changed my exhaust and test pipe to the same brand since they had told me that it could be that because I’m running different brand parts but it all points to the downpipe fitment
Looks great, well crafted !
Easy to install. Excellent service!
Excellent product , well packaged. Haven’t install yet. Beautiful weld.
Very nice piece From MAP. Excellent fitment, slid right into place like an oem part. It was between the AMS downpipe or this one and since I already had gone MAP with every other part, intercooler, manifold, intake and test pipe I wanted to keep it all one brand. There is only one flaw and it's the extra o2 bung. Wide band instructions state the sensor should be positioned so the sensor is angled down to allow condensation to run off. The bung positions the sensor about the 4 o'clock position so the sensor is angled upwards so condensation build up can cause premature sensor failure. There is not alot of room under the car for bung placement so I can see why MAP chose the location they did. I may add a bung in the elbow coming off the turbo since there would be room to put the sensor at the correct orientation.
