The Lancer Evolution VIII was the first Evolution to be sold in the United States! Factory equipped with the stout factory turbocharged 2.0 L 4G63 engine mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and boasts 271hp in stock form. The CT9A platform has Recaro seats, Enkei wheels, Brembo Brakes and Bilstein shocks as standard equipment! BBS wheels, aluminum roof, and a 6-speed manual gearbox were available with MR model, 287hp. MIVEC head, Subtle bumper changes, and wheels are the most notable difference on the Lancer Evolution IX models. What better platform to modify?
