A Whiteline sway bar, anti-roll or stabilizer bar provides a link between the left and right hand side of your suspension during cornering and is designed to minimize vehicle body roll, with cornering loads spread more evenly across the tires resulting in more grip. Better grip, improves handling and ultimately leads to a higher performing vehicle. Whiteline adjustable sway bars allow their stiffness to be altered by increasing or reducing the length of the lever arms. This permits the roll stiffness to be tuned for different situations without replacing the entire bar. The stiffer the bar, the more force required to move the left and right wheels relative to each other. This increases the amount of force required to make the vehicle body roll. Whiteline adjustable sway bars offer from 2, up to 4 points of adjustment, allowing in some cases 10 distinct stiffness settings for precise handling bias (towards oversteer or understeer) adjustment. Whiteline sway bars are manufactured using the finest grade spring steel. They are powder coated and supplied with high performance polyurethane mounting bushes in a DIY kit form, ready to simply bolt on. So without reducing comfort, a Whiteline sway bar will make your suspension system and tires perform better, making the car more responsive while delivering more grip.
Installed on an Evo X. Solid bar, well powder coated, good adjustments. Bar itself is great. The black "grease free" bushings were not fun to work with in combination with the OEM brackets (does not come with brackets). Barely fit around the bar alone. Had to put the bushings in a zip lock and submerge in nearly boiling water for 10mins, and very lightly spray the inside of the brackets with silicon lube before I could get the bushings to fit all the way around the bar and then into the brackets so that it sit flush enough to get the brackets to bolt back up to the frame. Instruction sheet was abysmally badly written and completely useless as it did not pertain to any particular product model of swaybar specifically. The gold metal clamps that prevent bar from walking are decent quality and look like they will last just fine. Set to the softest setting, this bar is far superior to the OEM sway bar handling. Very happy with the outcome overall but feel like Whiteline could do better for their price tag at sending relevant instructions and bushings that simply fit their own bar without trickery.
ordered this sway bar to replace my broken cobb sway bar and loving it so far tell the difference in the weight and construction was alot better. thanks map for the great shipping and product selection
i bought this from map last year along with whiteline rear end links. the sway is very well made. it is alot heavier than stock but the performance u get out of it is very good. one thing i notice with stock suspension is body roll u feel. the body roll stock, was too much for my liking. the rear sway will tighten things up. after i got used to it i wanted to reduce the body roll even more. so i got kw v3 as well. i highly recommend starting with upgrading sways first and then coils. one last tip is to use blue loctite on all the bolts so they dont come loose over time. mine started coming loose after a long day at the track. so i used loctite to fix it
